The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Fox River in Berlin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 6th. The Fox River in Berlin was at 13' 8”. Flood level is at 13 ft.
The forecast indicates that the river will rise to 15' late Monday night into Tuesday morning. Residences will be impacted along the Fox River and they need to take appropriate precautions.
Sandbags will be available for PICK-UP after 3 p.m. Sunday at the Berlin City Garage, 241 Spring Street across from the Fire Station.

1. It is anticipated that barricades will be set up blocking off entire streets. Motor vehicle traffic of any type will NOT be allowed inside the barricades, once set up. This includes citizens that live within the barricades. Vehicles will only be allowed in for emergencies such as to bring in more sandbags or remove property that cannot be carried by hand. Violators will be prosecuted and may be held liable civilly for any damage incurred to personal property of others.
2. The Berlin Police Department has lifted any time limit parking restrictions in this area, but they are requesting that everyone use good judgment and not park in front of driveways or fire hydrants and work with your neighbors so everyone has a spot to park their vehicle. Parking within the closed roadways is prohibited.
