PRESS RELEASE

 

 Re:       NICOLE A. HARRINGTON FOUND AND SAFE

 The Berlin Police Department is very happy to report that Nicole A. Harrington, 14 yr old female from Berlin has been located. Nicole was originally reported as missing on Saturday July 30th 2011 at approximately 6:00pm. After a very exhaustive investigation, officers and investigators were able to track Nicole A. Harrington to a bus terminal in Chattanooga,Tennessee. Nicole was found to be in good health and was taken into protective custody by Chattanooga Police Officers and then turned over to the Hamilton Co.,Tennessee juvenile authorities.

There are currently three (3) adults in custody in the Green Lake Co. Jail involved in illegally aiding and concealing the whereabouts of Nicole A. Harrington. The identities of these individuals are not being released prior to their initial appearance for investigative purposes. It is anticipated that two of the subjects will be in Green Lake Co. Court on August 5th(Friday) for their initial appearances.

The Berlin Police Department wants to express its deepest appreciation and thank to the Green Lake Co. Sheriff's Department, Winnebago Co. Sheriff's Department, Markesan Police Department, La Crosse Police Department, and several of the Fire Departments in Green Lake Co. for searching areas within Green Lake Co., and all the citizens of Berlin, Green Lake Co., and the State of Wisconsin that assisted with tips and watching for Nicole.
