On Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010, 3:09pm, the Green Lake County Sheriff's E911 Communications Center received a report of a serious traffic crash at the intersection of Sth.23, Cth.A / North St., in the Township of Brooklyn, Green Lake County. This location is just West of the City of Green Lake. At approximately 3:12pm police, fire/rescue, and first responders arrived on scene and found a collision between a passenger car and a semi truck/trailer.
Preliminary indications are that the passenger car turned off of Cth.A upon Sth.23 and was struck by the Westbound semi truck. The operator of the car, a 77 year old Green Lake female, was deceased at the scene. The passenger, an 82 year old Green Lake male, was transported and later died at the hospital. The operator of the semi truck, a 58 year old Minnesota male, was treated and released from a local hospital.
Responding units to this crash were the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office, City of Green Lake Police, Princeton Police, Berlin Police, Green Lake Fire/Rescue, Green Lake/Brooklyn First Responders, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Green Lake County Coroners Office.
This incident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Green Lake County Sheriff's Office, and Green Lake County Coroners Office.
