NATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATOR WEEK
April 12 – 18, 2009
For the past several years, Public Safety Agencies nationwide have recognized the pivotal role played by communications officers who utilize ever-changing technology and technical skills. These abilities provide support to Law Enforcement, Fire Services, Emergency Medical Services and other governmental personnel providing life- and property-saving efforts to the public of our communities.
Each year, the second week of April is dedicated to the men and women who serve as public safety telecommunicators. In 1991, Congress proclaimed it as a nationally recognized week of appreciation.
Please join Green Lake County Sheriff Mark A Podoll in celebrating these dedicated professionals who work around the clock, all year long answering thousands of calls for service each month to support their officers in the field and help keep the public safe.
